The dawn is breaking out on the cool air of the streets. The bums are waking up to another traffic scene of clustered angry cars on caffeine driven moods, and accidents will happen as day by day we move. The economy rises but unemployment line are growing day by day. The money is rolling in but none of us can pay. Two men fight while a recruit stands by and takes them by the hand and offers them a future if they die for this land. It’s a story we all heard, it’s a promise we were told. No one lives forever in the city i was born. And junkies die and men get tried for stealing loafs of bread for a family to feed and warrant of arrest. And the single mom in a run down home is raising her two boys, teach them to be men in an ill-forgotten world. It’s a story we all heard, it’s a promise we’ve been told. No one lives forever in a city I was born. How many more nights before we realize that the longer that we sleep it’s affecting you and me? I’m sitting out on the curb with all my broken dreams stuffed inside my pockets, can someone please tell me what’s the grand solution? What’s the master plan?
