Prison Cell 03:09
I'm not expected to understand. I’m just expected to do what I’m told. I’m not the one to argue that because when you question it they’ll be coming after you. No matter how big the cage is, it’s still a cage. No matter how big the chains are, it’s still a chain. No matter how big the walls are, they’re still fucking walls. And I’ve been damned to live in a prison cell. I’m not expected to revolt. Charity is perfect when it’s coming down from you. I’m not expected to revolt because I could be killed.

I don’t believe in martyrs because they are all dead. I don’t believe in art because it’s all dead. I don’t believe in music because it’s all dead. I only believe in one thing and that’s: Commercialize and swallow.
3.
Lies 02:12
A media distortion that tells you who was right, the politician who lied to you and stared you in the eye. The girl that said she loved you be left you far behind, and the products that she’s buying weren’t even worth the price. The girl next door has been a whore and so has the American Dream and anything around me just isn’t what it seems. A conquest leads to victory, what does that even mean? I’m stuck in a position not believing what I see because they’re all lies. And you expect me to believe when all you do is lie? You’re not going to lie to me, not this fucking time. A social sect that gathers in the search for an old soul with a leader that confides in them that they’re under control. They’ve said that I could stop because charts and graphs can show and predict that they know me, but what do they fucking know?

Here they come, the young and the tough, who know (yeah, who knows?) they know we’ve had enough. Arguing with the state on the things we can not take: the foreign policies and lying presidents. To stand outside or camping out, they say the cops have been waiting for the order to knock these kids some sense. While we’re safe at home to sit and watch the news that justifies the beating of a grieving multitude. And it’s getting out of hand. “Kid, run” When the rubber bullets flow and the prison bus approaches and the tiers of cops move forth.” The air is turning thick and the day is turning grey, and all your friends are cuffed aside where their blood has stained. “Move out of here, or respect our authority.” But I’m waiting for the day this state can show respect for me. This is my home and this is where I’ll stay. But it was broadcasted as anarchy, but let’s call it was it is.
5.
Anchorman 02:17
Six o'clock anchorman told me this today, “Lock up your doors, the terrorist are here.” Now I’ve got a patriot who’s yelling at my door with a loaded shotgun and a hate for foreigners. Six o'clock anchorman told me this today, “Breakout disease is on our way.” So look out my window to a mass hysteria as he cracks a joke “with details coming up.” Mr. Anchorman don’t you realize that you’re only hurting lives, instead of telling time? You’re generalizing your opinion with the facts. You’re reading from a prompt, and for those sponsoring. Sycophant anchorman told me this today, “Leaders coming around” so on with the parades. We’ll shower him with flowers and end with fireworks while standing on a podium and tells me how its worse.

Got a loan for a single-family home. The broker knew to lie when he got the family hooked. The interest is overwhelming and Don Lupe lost his job. Rather loose his score than see his family starve. And the neighbors lost their home, and the marshal let us know that the bank was in control when the judge signed evictions. The neighborhood is divided, it’s written on the walls. The absurdity of walking where you know you could fall. Communities are broken and their fending for themselves. I use to know my neighbors by their first names. But now I’ve lost my home. And the marshal let us know that the bank was in control when the judge signs evictions. Ground is shaken, the dozers pushes all the memories of everything that you ever loved. Investors took your debt and tore your place apart. Consumerism needs another parking lot to make room for new homes that gentrify your own, so the bank stays in control of the next mass eviction.
7.
Step In Line 02:18
It’s been 40 years since Charlie stepped into war. No neighborhood parade for him for the blood on his uniform. A gun under his pillow case protects him while he sleeps. I hope that when my brother comes he’s lost that tendency. They told him that he could be a martyr if he were to serve the cause and die. But to the world he’s not a son or father, he’s the one that decided to step in line. When they both enlisted they swore they’d make it back. Funny how their fates would turn and one of them lies dead. But the purple heart and pride for them, and what a country owes them too, is not enough to heal the wounds for the ones that made it through.
8.
Pride 03:04
One big idea that gets started in a yard and spreads like fire, or a trend which to belong. A wild guess of who is your friend and who is not based on the patches and the pins that they’ve got on. You swore together you would alway stand united against the violence and the wrong the world has caused. One call to action and the enemy is your own and the pride turns to violence as the answer to it all. Well, I don’t but I’ve been told and I guess that there’s not much I can say, but hold your hats and take aim when the cavalry is coming in. A blind obsession of the martyrs and idols, a crass fixation on the parties and the rules, associations and the ranks that get pulled: The sense of Pride of Elitist over fools. And if they get the sense that you could double-cross them they’ll take your body and feed it to the dogs. A call to action says the enemy is your own and the pride turns too violent and it’s you they’re looking for.

I’m getting real tired of these constant accusations and arguing about nothing that I’m little much involved. You’ve got your friends behind you and surely I have mine and tonight I know you’ll be fine. Think of all the things I could say and I could change, but still we’ll end up the same. You’ve got your friends behind you and surely I have mine and tonight I know I’ll be fine. Tonight I’m bound for the ocean and the last time that you’ll hear from me, my body will sink in the ocean and buried beneath all the waves. So I’ll finish up this drink and tonight I’ll set sail, been drowning all my problems now I’m coming up for air because you’ve got your friends behind you and surely I have mine, and tonight I know you’ll be fine. I begged for forgiveness, plead after plead, and still we end up the same. You’ve got you friends behind you and surely I’ve got mine and tonight I know I’ll be fine.

I’m drunk again. And it’s harder for me to decide when I’m drunk again the bottles lying on their side. I’m drunk again. And I thought I had figured this out, but I’m drunk and I’m hanging to all of my doubts. Will I wake when it’s bright and think I’m alright, or get up to fall right back down? I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again. I’m not sure I know who you are. I’m drunk again and I’m surprised we’ve lasted this long. I’m drunk again. Jack and Jim and Morgan and now gone and I’m drunk again but my bud is still here till I’m done. Will I wake when it’s bright and think I’m alright, or get up to fall right back down? I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again and I still feel like I’m drunk again and I still feel like shit.

The city is burning, the streets are not sound and this ‘hood is a wreck and our house is run down. There’s a rich man laughing while we sit and frown and it’s sad how one man has control of my town. And it’s making me angry, it’s making me pissed how we go off and die through neglect and disease. I don’t ask for anything, I just want reform to tear down these walls and build me a home. I’m no anarchist punk or communist kid. I’m young and I’m strong but I’m a regular kid. As a social bandit I know what I want but the good that we’ll gain will have to come from wrong. When we steal from the rich, give to the poor, just like those bastards had stolen before, we’ll get what we want and we’ll have what we need and none of our brothers will be out there to bleed to live by a gun of extraordinary power. So here’s for today, and here’s for tomorrow because finally we’ll have something to call our own when we tear down these wall and build me a home.

Untitled X 03:52
It’s 4 o’clock and the sun is still beating on a neighborhood we call our own. You said “hello” but I didn’t take that ride with you. The law is hitting on the street and I ain’t home. “Yeah, I’ll be back, you know I always do.” My mother blessed me as I go. She swears her son has always been a good boy. The law is hitting on the street and I ain’t home. It’s 4 o’ clock and I ain’t sleeping. These walls are creeking and echo. Cold concrete walls and locks and I still haven’t heard from you. The law is hitting on the street and I ain’t home. And one more night was all I needed. One more night to spend with you. One more night, I hope you open up your door when the law is hitting on the street and I ain’t home.

The dawn is breaking out on the cool air of the streets. The bums are waking up to another traffic scene of clustered angry cars on caffeine driven moods, and accidents will happen as day by day we move. The economy rises but unemployment line are growing day by day. The money is rolling in but none of us can pay. Two men fight while a recruit stands by and takes them by the hand and offers them a future if they die for this land. It’s a story we all heard, it’s a promise we were told. No one lives forever in the city i was born. And junkies die and men get tried for stealing loafs of bread for a family to feed and warrant of arrest. And the single mom in a run down home is raising her two boys, teach them to be men in an ill-forgotten world. It’s a story we all heard, it’s a promise we’ve been told. No one lives forever in a city I was born. How many more nights before we realize that the longer that we sleep it’s affecting you and me? I’m sitting out on the curb with all my broken dreams stuffed inside my pockets, can someone please tell me what’s the grand solution? What’s the master plan? Should we set L.A. on fire like we did so many years? It’s a story we all heard, it’s a promise we’ve been sold, and no one lives forever in the city I call home.
